IQ Mix Guide: Journey Levels and the Daily Test
IQ Mix is a reasoning game that mixes ten families of puzzles: figure matrices, number series, clocks, family relations, directions, letter codes, analogies, mirror images, seating arrangements and logical syllogisms. Every question has four choices and exactly one right answer.
There are two ways to play. Journey is a series of levels you play at your own pace with hints available. Intelligence Test is a timed run with no help at all. It is a game for practice and fun, and its result is not a clinical or official IQ score.
Play IQ MixHow to play
- On the game page, choose Journey to practise through levels, or Intelligence Test to test yourself.
- In Journey, study the puzzle and tap one of the four answers. There is no timer but only one try, and the correct answer is shown for a couple of seconds before the next question.
- Stuck in Journey? You can buy up to three hints per question at 5 coins each. They are graded: the first tells you where to look, the third nearly hands you the method.
- A Journey level has 20 questions and you need 15 right to unlock the next one. Levels get harder as you go.
- The Test is 30 questions, three from each family from easy to hard, on one 20-minute clock that never pauses. There are no hints, and your result appears at the end.
Scoring and rewards
Each correct answer is worth 10 points and 10 XP, and wrong answers cost nothing. In Journey, stars depend on your share of correct answers, and the first clear of a level pays 2, 3 or 5 coins depending on stars. Replays pay no coins.
The Test shows how many of the 30 you got right and a breakdown per family, so you can see your strong and weak areas. Only the first test you start each day is ranked; later runs that day are practice. Once enough players have taken it, you also see what percentage of ranked runs you beat. A test only pays rewards if you answered at least half the questions before time ran out.
Tips and strategies
- For matrices, read each row left to right, then each column, and look for what changes: count, rotation or shape.
- For clocks and directions, sketch it in your head or on paper. A quarter turn right is not a quarter turn left.
- For kinship and seating puzzles, take one sentence at a time and note each relation instead of solving it all at once.
- In the Test, do not get stuck on a single question. The clock is shared by all 30, so make your best logical pick and keep a steady pace; a question you never reach counts as wrong.
- Use Journey and its hints to learn a family you find hard, then take the Test.
Frequently asked questions
- Is this a real IQ test?
- No. It is a reasoning puzzle game for practice and fun. Your result compares you with other TIMOZ players, not an official IQ number.
- Why did my second test today not count for ranking?
- Only the first test you start each day is ranked. Any further runs are practice under the same rules.
- Does the Test reuse Journey questions?
- No. The Test never shows a question from a Journey level.
