Say the Opposite Guide: Beat the Shrinking Clock
Say the Opposite is a speed game and a language game at once. An Arabic word appears with 4 choices, and you tap its opposite as fast as you can. The words are familiar, like big and small or near and far, but the clock adds the pressure, because it gets shorter question after question.
Some words have more than one meaning, so the game adds a short context such as "in size" or "in price" to make the intended sense clear. You can play 36 solo levels in order, ten words each, or open a private room for 2 to 8 friends.
Play Say the OppositeHow to play
- Start a solo level or join a room. After a 3-second countdown the first word appears with 4 choices.
- Read the word and its context, if shown, then tap its opposite.
- Your first tap is your answer and cannot be changed, so be sure before you tap.
- Wrong or out of time? The correct answer shows for two seconds, then the next word comes.
- In a solo level: 3 words at 10 seconds, 3 at 7, 2 at 5, and the last 2 at only 4 seconds.
- A room match is 20 words: 5 each at 10, 7, 5 and 4 seconds, with everyone seeing the same choices at the same time.
Scoring and rewards
Each correct answer is worth 10 points plus a speed bonus of up to 5, and a wrong answer scores zero. There are no hints and no second tries.
To pass a solo level and unlock the next, get at least 8 of 10 right. Stars are about accuracy only: 8 correct earns 1 star, 9 earns 2 and 10 earns 3, and speed cannot make up for mistakes. A first clear pays 2, 3 or 5 coins depending on your stars.
In a room, a sole top scorer earns 5 coins and every other finisher earns 1; a tie at the top means nobody gets the winner's reward. Every correct answer also earns XP.
Tips and strategies
- Watch the small context next to the word. It decides whether the opposite of "light" means "heavy" or something else.
- Wrong choices are often related words that are not true opposites, so look for the exact antonym, not a near match.
- Early questions give you 10 seconds, so use them to be sure. By the end you have 4, so scan the choices while you are still reading the word.
- In solo play accuracy beats speed: stars and unlocking depend only on right answers.
- From level 19 the pairs flip, so the old answers become the questions. The early levels are good practice for what follows.
