Scene Memory Guide: Recall a Picture After 7 Seconds
Scene Memory is a visual memory game. You are shown an illustrated everyday scene, such as a kitchen counter, a desk or a shelf, with several groups of objects laid out in two rows. You have only 7 seconds to take it all in, then the picture disappears and never comes back.
After the picture is gone you answer 3 questions about it, each with four choices. They ask how many of an object there were, what colour something was, or what was in a particular spot. It is a solo game built on levels, starting with easy scenes and getting harder as you progress.
Play Scene MemoryHow to play
- Press I am ready only when you are focused, because the picture appears the moment you tap.
- You get 7 seconds with the scene. Sweep your eyes across the whole picture instead of fixing on one object.
- The picture vanishes and the first question begins. Tap one of the four answers. Questions are untimed, so take a moment to recall.
- Each question allows one try. After you answer, the correct choice is shown briefly and the next question follows automatically.
- Cannot remember? Buy up to three hints per question at 5 coins each. A hint reminds you where the object was or rules out a wrong choice.
- A level is 10 scenes, or 30 questions, and you need 15 right to unlock the next level.
Scoring and rewards
Each correct answer is worth 10 points and 10 XP. There is no speed bonus because the questions are untimed, and wrong answers cost nothing. Hints are paid from your coin wallet and never reduce your points.
Stars depend on your share of correct answers in the level. Your first clear of a level pays 2, 3 or 5 coins depending on stars; replays pay no coins.
Tips and strategies
- Split the picture into two rows, top and bottom, and each row into left, middle and right. Now you are memorising six spots, not one big image.
- For each group, lock in three facts: what it is, what colour it is, and how many there are. Those are exactly the kinds of questions you will get.
- Say a short phrase to yourself, like "three blue teapots, top left". Words stick better than pictures alone.
- Do not spend your first seconds on the background. Only the objects matter.
- If you are torn between two answers, buy a single hint first. One is often enough.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I see the picture again?
- No. It shows once, for 7 seconds, and after that everything depends on your memory. That is why you should only press I am ready when you are fully focused.
- Is there a timer on the questions?
- No. Only the viewing is timed; the questions themselves have no clock.
- How many correct answers do I need to pass a level?
- Fifteen out of the level's thirty questions.
