TIMOZ

General Knowledge Guide: Rules, Scoring and Speed Tips

General Knowledge is a fast quiz that tests what you know across every topic: history, geography, science, sport, art and everyday life. Each question comes with a set of answer choices, and you tap the one you believe is right.

The idea is simple but the game is not easy. You get exactly one try per question, the clock is always running, and quicker correct answers are worth more. You can play it alone, take on the Daily challenge, open a private room for up to 8 friends, or meet it as one of the rounds inside Battle Mix.

Players: Solo or multiplayer · 1–8 players

How to play

  1. Choose how to play: a quick solo game, the Daily challenge, or a private room whose code you share with friends.
  2. A question appears with its answer choices and a 30-second timer.
  3. Read the whole question, then tap your answer. Once you tap, the choice is final.
  4. If you are wrong, the game shows the correct answer together with a short explanation.
  5. If the timer runs out before you answer, the question scores nothing and the next one starts.
  6. After 6 questions you see your total, and in a room you see where you finished among your friends.

Scoring and rewards

A correct answer is worth 10 points, plus a speed bonus of up to 5 points that shrinks steadily as the timer runs down, so the best possible question is worth 15. A wrong answer scores zero, and nothing is ever subtracted.

There are no hints in this game, so it comes down to knowledge and speed. Every finished game also earns XP toward your player level (about 10 per correct answer, with a minimum of 5 for any completed game) and a few coins: 1 for a solo game, 5 for completing the Daily, 5 for winning a room and 1 for finishing one.

Tips and strategies

  • Read the full question before looking at the choices; one word like "not" or "first" can flip the meaning.
  • When you are unsure, rule out the impossible choices first, then pick from what is left.
  • Speed matters, but accuracy matters more: a slow right answer still earns at least 10, a fast wrong one earns nothing.
  • Read the explanation after a miss. The questions span many topics, and those notes pay off in later games.
  • In a room with friends the gap is usually the speed bonus, so keep your finger ready over the screen.
