Who Is the Player? Guide: Name Him in Fewer Clues

Who Is the Player? is a football guessing game built on clues. There is no photo: you get one fact about a player, such as his position, his club career or a trophy he won, then another, then another. Every new clue makes him easier to spot, but also makes the round worth less.

Before you start, pick Random or the leagues you follow, including the Egyptian, English, Spanish, Italian, German, French and Saudi leagues. You can play solo, take the one-player Daily, open a room for up to 8 friends, send a friend challenge, or meet it inside Battle Mix.

Players: Solo or multiplayer · 1–8 players

How to play

  1. Choose Random or your favourite leagues and start.
  2. The first clue is free; after that a new clue arrives roughly every 7 seconds, and each one lowers the round's value.
  3. When you know him, tap "I know it!". That locks the value at the number of clues you have seen and opens the name boxes.
  4. Build the name from the letter tiles and confirm. Coin-priced aids become available once you have tapped "I know it!".
  5. A wrong guess costs one point of the round's value; you can wait for another clue and try again.
  6. Each round lasts 90 seconds, and a match has 6 rounds.

Scoring and rewards

A round is worth 10 points if you get him on the first clue, then 8, 6, 5, 3, 2 and 1 as more clues appear. Each wrong guess removes a point, but a correct answer never drops below 1. Timed rounds add a speed bonus of up to 5. In a room, the first correct player takes the full value and later correct players get about 60% of it.

There are three aids: reveal a letter, remove wrong letters (half of the extra tiles go), and show the player's nationality when it is not already one of the clues. Aids never lower your score; they cost coins instead: 5 in solo and Daily play, 15 in rooms and challenges, where each player may buy one per question. Finishing the Daily pays 5 coins, and correct answers add XP.

Tips and strategies

  • Do not wait for every clue. If you have a strong candidate after two, tap "I know it!" and bank the higher value.
  • Combine clues instead of reading them alone: a position plus the country he played in cuts the list sharply.
  • Random guessing costs points, so only guess when you have a real reason.
  • Pick leagues you actually follow for a high score, and Random when you want a real test.
  • Save "remove wrong letters" for long names, where the tile bank is crowded and the aid helps most.

Frequently asked questions

Do aids lower my score?
No. Aids are paid in coins only. Extra clues and wrong guesses are what reduce your points.
Can I play with friends?
Yes, in a private room for up to 8 players or through a friend challenge. Whoever recognises the player first scores most.
What is the Daily here?
One player per day under the same clue rules. Finishing it pays 5 coins.
What happens when the 90 seconds run out?
The round closes with no points, the player's name is shown, and the next round starts.
